Holland America Line has announced a new partnership with Crane Stationery to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This collaboration centers on a specially commissioned 12-card collection designed by members of the United States Veterans’ Artists Alliance. The initiative seeks to honor the shared legacies of both brands while celebrating the creative talents of American military veterans. The collection features unique artistic interpretations of each of the eleven ships currently in the Holland America Line fleet, blending maritime history with fine American craftsmanship.
The three veteran artists selected for this project are Lindsay Cordero, Amy R. Roberts, and Jen LaVita. Each artist contributed four designs, utilizing their individual styles to depict the cruise line’s vessels. These keepsake cards are printed on Crane’s signature paper, a brand with deep historical significance that has been used for everything from the first American paper currency to presidential holiday cards. The collection is scheduled to be available for purchase on board Holland America ships starting in late April 2026.

Beyond the product launch, the partnership includes a community-focused element. During the 2026 Grand World Voyage, the Volendam will host a veterans’ meet-up led by the cruise line’s president and officers who have served in the military. This event will allow veterans on board to use the commemorative cards to send messages to fellow service members, reinforcing the project’s focus on connection and the written word.

This stationery collection is part of a broader series of partnerships intended to lead up to the July 4, 2026, milestone. Holland America Line is also collaborating with Pendleton Woolen Mills on a limited-edition Alaska-themed throw blanket and has planned a legendary voyage in 2027 inspired by the historic routes of Pan Am. Furthermore, the cruise line will host a dedicated Stars and Stripes sailing departing from Boston on July 4, 2026. This voyage will include a front-row view of the Boston fireworks, American-themed deck parties, and visits to historically significant ports such as Norfolk and New York City. Through these multifaceted collaborations, the cruise line aims to provide guests with tangible connections to American history and the diverse stories of those who have served the nation.
