Carnival Cruise Line has announced an exciting new partnership with the Port of San Diego to serve as the official cruise line sponsor for the Big Bay Boom. This event is recognized as the largest Fourth of July fireworks display on the West Coast and will be particularly special in 2026 as it helps celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Through this significant sponsorship, Carnival will lead the countdown to the show and feature prominently throughout the event programming. The cruise line is also dedicated to supporting community promotions and collaborating with the Port to honor active-duty service members during the holiday.

Guests sailing aboard the Carnival Radiance, Carnival Firenze, and Carnival Luminosa will enjoy a premier viewing experience. These three ships will anchor in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego Bay, offering passengers a front-row seat to the spectacular fireworks. Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed that this sponsorship provides a meaningful way to connect with the local community and military families while honoring the patriotic spirit of the holiday.

This West Coast celebration complements Carnival’s plans for the East Coast, where seven ships will meet near Celebration Key for synchronized festivities. Between the two coasts, Carnival ships will host birthday-themed deck parties featuring special food, drink, and entertainment. The Big Bay Boom draws hundreds of thousands of spectators annually and generates millions in economic benefits for the region. This collaboration ensures the 2026 Independence Day celebration will be a memorable historic milestone for locals, visitors, and cruise guests alike.
