France: Hospitality group Accor now operates more than 180 hotels across five brand collections, with more than 100 on the way.

The 180 hotels worldwide are part of Emblems Collection, MGallery Collection, Handwritten Collection and Ennismore’s Morgans Originals and Paris Society Hotel Collection. A further 125 projects are in the pipeline, constituting 65 per cent growth.

Emblems Collection aims to reach 60 properties by 2032, with 13 properties representing 1,000 rooms in the pipeline globally. Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in the UK joined the collection in November, and Rimrock Banff in Canada is set to debut this June. Six properties in Italy and Greece are planned to open by early 2027.

MGallery has grown by 30 per cent since 2022, and aims to add more than 50 developments in the future. This includes an extensive expansion in France, as well as plans to double its footprint in Greece.

Handwritten Collection has opened in 40 locations globally since 2023. The brand has more than 45 projects in the pipeline.

“Handwritten Collection perfectly captures what many independent hoteliers are looking for today – a brand that respects their story, their personality and their operational independence, while giving them immediate access to Accor’s global platform. The brand’s rapid expansion across the world demonstrates the strength of this approach, with conversion opportunities a major driver of this success, allowing us to integrate distinctive properties quickly and efficiently into our ecosystem,” Camil Yazbeck said, global chief development officer for Accor’s premium, midscale and economy brands.

Later this year, Morgans Originals will also support Ennismore’s debut in Greece and Thailand with the openings of LUURA Paros and Roswyn Mumbai. Paris Society Hotel Collection, which launched last year, also includes the country estate Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, France; the mountain resort Le
Refuge de Solaise, France; and a resort on the Golden Horn of Istanbul, Aliée, Turkey.

While Accor’s collection brands constitute three per cent of its global listings, it now makes up eight per cent of its pipeline.

“Whether it’s through Emblems Collection, MGallery or Ennismore’s Morgans Originals and Paris Society Hotel Collection, we are building a portfolio that combines individuality with global prestige and performance,” said Agnès Roquefort, global CDO of luxury and lifestyle brands at Accor. “This success is significantly underpinned by the strength of Accor’s powerful commercial ecosystem, which, on average, drives 80 per cent of our collection hotels’ revenue across loyalty, distribution and sales channels.”
