Pilar Coffee Bar and Iced Treats is debuting its flagship location this month at The Cove in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The menu features specialty lattes, iced coffees, cold brews, breakfast items, sandwiches, salads and signature offerings, including the Biscotti Butter Cookie Latte and Ancient Grains Salad Bowl.
Expanding into the coffee segment made perfect sense, said CEO Steve Giordanella, who is also CEO and founder of I Heart Mac & Cheese, a 30-unit fast casual brand founded in Florida.
“Coffee is one of the most popular beverage categories, and our unique approach brings a fresh, differentiated experience to the market, setting us apart from the usual offerings,” he said in an email interview with FastCasual.
The space was designed as a place for creativity and community to thrive.
“Whether you’re enjoying quiet time alone or sharing a conversation with friends, Pilar offers a peaceful retreat from the daily rush — a place to recharge, connect and be inspired,” Giordanella said in a company press release. “Our goal is to offer more than just the typical coffee shop experience; we aim to create a space that supports and nurtures our guests, allowing them to truly savor every moment.”
Pilar is seeking franchise partners to expand across the Southeast.
“The Deerfield Beach location is just the beginning,” Giordanella said. “We’re thrilled to bring the Pilar experience to new cities and create spaces that people will truly love.
