Alpharetta, Georgia-based The HoneyBaked Ham Company has signed an agreement with Craig Marcum, his wife, Charlotte and their son, Cameron, to open next year in Venice, Florida.
Marcum previously practiced as a chiropractor in both Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, and later worked as a captain of mega yachts. He also has franchise experience with Sea Tow, a marine assistance network, where he received several awards from the brand for his achievements as an outstanding operator, skills he plans to utilize in this next venture with HoneyBaked.
“I knew HoneyBaked was the best choice for my next business venture, as it was always a staple for meals in my household,” Marcum said in a company press release. “The brand’s product and reputation are unlike any other, and we knew that there was no better time to get on board,” said Craig Marcum. “We’re thrilled to join a company with high standards and values and know that our location will spread joy and bring smiles to the residents of Venice.”
“Craig and his family are the type of franchise partners we look for at HoneyBaked,” Mark Mazur, director of franchise development with HoneyBaked, said in the release. “They are joining our brand at an exciting time as we are driving impressive growth for the second year in a row. With the team’s experience, we know that their location in Venice will be a huge success. Florida has been a key market for our expansion, and we’re excited to have Craig on board to drive further growth.”
