BOSTON, Massachusetts—JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced the sale of The Centennial Hotel, a 32-room Victorian-era boutique hotel in downtown Concord, New Hampshire. JLL represented the seller, Sparta Properties, in the transaction. Lord Hotels acquired the asset.

Built in 1898 and converted to a hotel in 1996, The Centennial Hotel is positioned within walking distance of the New Hampshire State House, the new Federal Courthouse, and the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Between 2023 and 2024, ownership completed comprehensive capital improvements, including guestroom renovations, full restaurant refurbishment, and building systems upgrades.

The hotel includes 32 guestrooms across multiple configurations. Amenities include a fitness center, a business center, complimentary WiFi, on-site parking, an electric vehicle charging station, and continental breakfast service. The property also offers 1,785 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Centennial Hotel’s on-site dining venue, the Granite Restaurant & Bar, provides 65 seats in the dining room and nine seats at the bar. The restaurant operates as an upscale dinner-only venue serving modern Mediterranean cuisine with New England influences.

The JLL Hotels & Hospitality team representing the seller was led by Senior Managing Director Alan Suzuki. John Linell served as JLL’s New Hampshire Broker of Record for the transaction.

“We continue to see high-net-worth individuals and families gravitating toward boutique hotel acquisitions, particularly assets with strong stories and strategic locations like The Centennial Hotel,” Suzuki said. “This Victorian-era property offered an ideal combination of recent capital improvements, unencumbered operations and immediate upside through hands-on management and food & beverage optimization.”
