Dear Robbie,
The ramps in cathederal to go up the tower were for mu azzan to go up on horse back to call for muslim prayer 5 times daily.
As I understand
The Giralda has ramps for the Imams to get up for the call to prayer . It is the only bit left of the original mosque, apart from the orange garden , with the Christian bell tower plonked on top. Love Selvile . Xxx

Robbie I do love your videos and books but a little bit of constructive feedback that’s meant in the right way. When you talk to camera you constantly wave your right hand at the camera. It can get a bit irritating after a while. Have a watch. Otherwise very interesting.
You could easily do the whole 5 weeks just in Andalucia.
