SAN DIEGO, California—The Wayfarer San Diego completed a comprehensive renovation of 126 guestrooms and suites, debuting a refreshed design that draws inspiration from coastal Southern California.

The multi-million-dollar guestroom transformation, led by Pacifica Design Group, introduces a beach-inspired aesthetic rooted in the colors and textures of the surrounding shoreline. The palette includes watery blues and sandy neutrals, and textured wallcoverings mimic ocean waves. Layered materials like new hard flooring, tweed accent chairs, and high-gloss pedestal tables add depth to the space. New design details such as retro-inspired mini-fridges and microwaves, decorative mirrors, and new drapery infuse each space with a vintage, surf-chic feel, while adding functional, residential style amenities to the in-room experience.

This renovation follows enhancements made in 2023 with the hotel’s opening, which included newly redesigned suites and updated common areas. The refreshed guestrooms reflect the hotel’s blend of comfort and design.

The Wayfarer San Diego is managed by Aliso Viejo-based Parable Hospitality, a hotel operator with a portfolio of boutique properties and resorts situated along the West Coast and Hawaii.
