Virgin Hotels expands portfolio with Atlanta project

US: Virgin Hotels, the lifestyle brand within Virgin Hotels Collection, has partnered with real estate developer Drew Company to build the Virgin Hotels Atlanta in Georgia.

Scheduled for a 2027 debut, the hotel will be part of Centennial Yards – the 50-acre development led by CIM Group in downtown Atlanta.

The property’s 261 rooms will feature Virgin Hotels’ signature ‘Chambers’ concept, with each room offering a multi-functional space for rest, work, and leisure. The rooms will be divided into 21 grand king chambers and 21 one-bedroom suites, while the upper floors containing a Penthouse Suite and ‘Richard’s Flat’ – Virgin Hotels’ signature residential area.

The hotel will have a pool deck with ten private cabanas, a seasonal exterior bar, and an adjacent event lawn. For the business and creative community, the hotel offers approximately 2,900 square feet of flexible meeting space across three rooms.

The property has three F&B areas:

  • A ground-floor lobby bar with an outdoor patio.
  • A restaurant and pool bar, featuring a private dining room and covered outdoor terrace overlooking Centennial Yards’ Entertainment District’s plaza and pool deck.
  • A rooftop bar and lounge with a terrace overlooking the neighbouring sports and entertainment district.

Alongside Virgin Limited Edition’s recently announced luxury hotel in Marrakech, also set to open in 2027, Virgin Hotels Atlanta at Centennial Yards will be the group’s 18th property.
