Terminal G at PortMiami was torn down this past summer/fall to make way for a new larger, more modern terminal for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea ships.

Today, the port celebrated the official ground breaking for the terminal that will be able to accommodate ships with as many as 7,000 passengers.

The terminal is expected to open in late 2027 and will be a LEED certified facility.

The new Terminal G will be built by Lemartec-NV2A, the same company that built NCL’s Terminal B at the port.

The multi-level terminal will strategically separate passenger flow by floor to help reduce congestion for cruises departing from the ship and those arriving for their cruise.

A multi-story parking garage will also be built with ground-level bus parking and designated passenger drop-off areas.

This will be the second cruise terminal at PortMiami for Royal Caribbean Group. The first, Terminal A, opened in November 2018.
