Shake Shackis targeting the wellness-minded diner with the nationwide launch of its “Good Fit Menu,” a curated selection of high-protein, gluten-free and lifestyle-friendly options.
The limited-time menu utilizes the brand’s core ingredients to offer modifications such as lettuce wraps and gluten-free buns. The initiative is designed to appeal to guests with specific dietary needs, including those following vegetarian, gluten-free or GLP-1-friendly regimens.
The move comes as fast casual brands increasingly pivot toward “functional” menu items to capture diners who prioritize nutritional transparency.
“We wanted to make health-forward choices easier without sacrificing the flavor and quality Shake Shack is known for,” John Karangis, Shake Shack’s executive chef and vice president of culinary innovation, said in a company press release. Karangis, an Ironman triathlete, said his own active lifestyle often informs the brand’s menu development.
The “Good Fit” lineup features several high-protein items, including:
- Double SmokeShack (Lettuce Wrap): Two Angus beef patties, bacon, cherry peppers and ShackSauce (52g protein, 5g carbs).
- Double Avocado Bacon Burger (Lettuce Wrap): Two patties with hand-sliced avocado and bacon (51g protein, 4g carbs).
- Chicken Shack Lettuce Wrap: Hand-breaded chicken breast with pickles and buttermilk herb mayo (27g protein).
- Double Veggie Shack Lettuce Wrap: Two veggie patties made from mushrooms, sweet potatoes, carrots and quinoa (25g protein).
For those with gluten sensitivities, the brand is also highlighting its Gluten-Free Double ShackBurger, which features two patties on a dedicated gluten-free bun, providing 47 grams of protein.
The new menu is available at Shack locations across the U.S. for a limited time.
