Rogers and Fido have introduced a new connectivity option specifically targeting travelers on cruise ships. The newly launched “US, Mexico & Caribbean + Cruises – 7 days” pass is available for purchase at a flat rate of $100. This pricing breaks down to approximately $14.28 per day over the week-long period. The pass is designed to cover popular travel zones, including the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean, which aligns with industry data indicating these regions are heavily trafficked by cruise passengers.

A significant detail for users to note is the data restriction attached to this plan. The service allows for 1GB of data usage within a 24-hour window. If a user exceeds this 1GB limit, their connection speeds will be reduced for the remainder of that day. The geographic coverage for this specific pass includes the continental U.S. as well as territories such as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In conjunction with the weekly pass, Rogers has also updated its Daily Roaming option. This alternative costs $18 per day and now extends to cover the same cruise ships with identical data limitations. However, the geographic scope of the daily option differs; while it includes destinations in Europe and Asia, it excludes the U.S. and its territories, unlike the 7-day bundle. To facilitate easier navigation of these choices, Rogers has added a “Land & Sea” tab to their Roam Like Home Travel Pass webpage, allowing customers to filter options based on whether they are on shore or at sea.
