SLS The Red Sea has appointed Glenn Waidande as its new director of revenue management. He will be part of their pre-opening executive committee, bringing over 16 years of hospitality experience to the role.

Waidande’s career began at the age of 18, progressing from a trainee in reservations to senior leadership positions in revenue strategy across multiple international markets. His early career included positions with Shangri-La and Starwood in India, followed by Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas in Thailand, and Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Qatar.

Most recently, he served as multi-property director of revenue strategy at Dusit, overseeing a combined 549 keys across two Doha properties. In this role, he managed inventory, pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies for rooms, spa, food and beverage, and function spaces. He also led revenue optimisation through tools including STR, Sabre SynXis, OTA Insights, and Duetto/IDeaS G3, delivering consistent revenue growth and market share gains.

His key career achievements include maintaining the best departmental performance for two consecutive years in Thailand, successfully delivering revenue targets during the FIFA project in Qatar by clustering two properties for maximum market share, and driving 22 percent year-on-year revenue growth during the COVID-19 period.

At SLS The Red Sea, Waidande is responsible for shaping and executing revenue strategies for the 150-key flagship property, which includes high-end lifestyle rooms, branded residences, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

His remit includes dynamic pricing, forecasting, performance analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration to align revenue initiatives with broader operational and market objectives. This includes pre-opening planning and strategy execution under the Royal Commission’s Vision 2030 tourism framework.
