7 Brew, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Sonny’s BBQ and more make executive moves

Drive-thru beverage chain 7 Brew named Matt Dunnigan to the role of chief financial officer. Dunnigan brings deep financial experience to the job, most recently at Equinox and previously at Restaurant Brands International, where he rose through the ranks to become CFO of that company.

Sumi Ghosh has been named president and chief operating officer of Mountain Mike’s Pizza. He joins the Irvine, California-based chain with more than 30-years experience, including 12 years with Starbucks, where he served as CEO of the coffeehouse chain in India. He has also held executive roles with Nike, Dutch Bros and Yum Brands.

Sonny’s BBQ announced some promotions on its executive team:

George McAllan has been named president of the Orlando-based chain. He joined the chain in 2024 as chief growth officer, and worked previously as chief operations officer for two different franchise groups. He also worked at Dunkin’ Brands, where he oversaw up to 4,000 restaurants.

Katie Love has been named chief marketing officer at Sonny’s. She was previously the brand’s vice president of marketing and director of brand management for more than a decade.

Layne’s Chicken Fingers has made two leadership changes:

Cuyler Esposito, an experienced multi-unit franchisee, has been named vice president of culture operations, working with franchisees to ensure the brand’s culture remains a foundation as the chain grows.

In addition, Layne’s has promoted Alex Camp to vice president of operations services. Camp has been with the Frisco, Texas-based chain for two years. In his new role, he will oversee the intersection of corporate infrastructure and real operations through the franchise network.

The fast-casual chain Field of Greens is adding to its executive team in preparation for expansion:

Thomas Op’t Holt is the chain’s new director of culinary operations.

Dan Morris has been named vice president overseeing strategic growth, operations and development. Morris is the former partner of Gulfstream Hospitality.

Tim Egan will lead human resources at Field of Greens.

Savory Fund, the private-equity firm behind restaurant brands like Swig, Via 313, Mo’ Bettahs and South Block, has promoted two leaders:

Maryam Chaney has been elevated to chief of supply chain, overseeing supply chain strategy, culinary execution, menu engineering and food safety across Savory’s 13 brands.

Aaron Smith was promoted to vice president of development after serving for eight years as director of construction.

Oberweis Dairy appointed Renato DePaolis II as CEO. He replaces Adam Kraber, who will remain at the company as SVP of sales & growth. DePaolis joins Oberweis from the Hoffmann Family of Companies (HF Companies), which acquired the ice cream stores and dairy operations in 2024.

Award-winning chef Rick Tramonto joined Roanoke Hospitality as VP of Culinary for Grill on 21 in the LaSalle Hotel in Chicago’s Financial District. Tramonto gained fame as executive chef of Chicago’s TRU, helping the restaurant earn two Michelin stars. He went on to lead culinary at Tramonto’s Steak & Seafood and RT Sushi, then partnered with John Folse to open Restaurant R’evolution in New Orleans and Seafood R’evolution.
